New Year. I began the new year taking advanced pilates training at my favorite training center in CA. I take my continuing education here every year. And as always, it was an inspiring kind of torture. I learned new exercises I'd initially be too afraid to try, but of course, with the gentle push of my Instructor Trainers Lucy & Marshall, I (expectantly) performed them successfully, gracefully. I guess honest to goodness hard work really pays off and this is one type of accomplishment where results can't be denied or fabricated. It just shows.
I am so grateful for discovering this training center. Being with my teachers and the other instructors has always been a positive experience-- they're almost always joyful. This is one place where there is genuine teamwork, a team bounded by encouragement, trust, and success. Not only do I learn the required repertoire for my profession, I also learn what a genuine pilates training center slash studio ought to be, what the pilates spirit ought to be. (Did I say spirit? Joseph Pilates' spirit? I sure hope he's resting in peace!) Another thing, ALL the teachers here are SO DAMN FIT! They play the part and look the part! (How else should they be?)
What a healthy way to start another year! Being inspi(RED)! Of course, my teachers said I made them proud!
It's only sad that there are people who personify and glorify crab mentality and ugly competition. They foolishly believe that they'll uplift themselves by belittling others.
I believe that in the grand scheme of things in this infinite universe, only truth, love, and integrity will prevail.
